Soil for cotton cultivation
Soil for cotton cultivation: The cotton plant requires a temperature of 20 degree centigrade to 30 degree centigrade. At the time of tinda blooming, there should be clear weather, strong and bright sunlight. This increases the shine of the fibre. And the tindas bloom completely. Organic farming of cotton requires 60 cm rainfall. Cotton can be cultivated even in normal soil.
The pH value of soil should be 5.5 to 6.0. However, land with pH value up to 8.5 is also beneficial for cotton cultivation.
Sowing time
Cotton can be sown twice. Once sowing is done in dry field before the rains and second time sowing is done after the rains. Sowing before rain is called early sowing. In this, sowing is done in dry fields 7-8 days before monsoon. After rain, seeds are sown again in the empty place after seeing the accumulation. The yield is higher in this method. Generally this sowing takes place between 10-20 June. The second time of sowing is after the rains.
Use of manure fertilizer
After cultivating cotton, it is necessary to use manure and fertilizer in the fields. For organic farming of cotton, 30 to 40 tonnes per hectare cow dung manure or 25 to 30 tonnes per hectare vermicompost is used in the field 15 days before sowing. After applying fertilizer, the field should not be disturbed openly. Biofertilizers Rhizobium, PSB, Potash and Zinc solubilizing bacterial culture should be used before sowing. This will give good yield to your crop, and you can take advantage of this farming.
