Chairman of HAFED went on a tour to UAE where he took an important decision.

Rice and sugar will be exported to UAE

In a meeting held with Kailash Bhagat, Chairman of HAFED, who was on tour in UAE, it was decided that rice and sugar would be exported from Haryana to UAE. This decision of the government will especially benefit the farmers producing sugarcane on rice. Apart from the Chairman of HAFED, HAFED Managing Director Dr J Ganesan and General Manager Rajneesh Sharma were also present in the delegation meeting.

While giving information, Chairman of Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited, Kailash Bhagat said that on Friday he met many businessmen of UAE related to export of rice. The export deal of 1000 metric tons of Basmati rice was finalized in the delegation meeting held in UAE. Basmati rice is cultivated the most in Karnal district of Haryana.

The agreement between Haryana and UAE will be finalized

Giving information, Managing Director of HAFED, Dr J Ganesan said that recently HAFED has signed a deal with a leading businessman of United Arab Emirates for the export of 85000 metric tons of Basmati Rice worth Rs 850 crore. He told that to finalize the agreement between Haryana and UAE, Abdullah Atiq Aldarmaki, Director of Sealal Food and Technology, will visit Chandigarh. After this, rice will be exported under the agreement between the two.
