Punjab Kisan Agitations : Farmers Sit on Strike, Rail Roko Movement Will Continue For 3 Days
Punjab Kisan Agitations : Farmers in Punjab have once again started a movement for their demands. Here, members of different farmer organizations have started a three-day 'Rail Roko' protest from Thursday. These people are going to protest with their demands by sitting on the railway tracks.
Farmers have planned to protest in Moga, Hoshiarpur, Gurdaspur, Jalandhar, Tarn Taran, Sangrur, Patiala, Ferozepur, Bathinda and Amritsar. Their protest against the central government will continue till 30 September. The farmers' demands include a financial package for farmers affected by floods in North India, valid guarantee for MSP on all crops and loan waiver, among other demands.

Says farmer leader Gurbachan Singh in Amritsar. That farmers are demanding a flood relief package of Rs 50 thousand crore for North Indian states and MSP as per the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission report. Explaining his demands, the farmer leader said that the entire loan of farmers and laborers should be waived off. Apart from this, Rs 10 lakh and a government job should be given to the families of each of the farmers who died during the protest against the three agricultural laws (which have now been repealed).
In Amritsar, farmers are protesting by sitting on the Amritsar-Delhi railway track in Devidaspura. In which many farmer organizations are included including Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Samiti, Bharti Kisan Union (BKU-Krantikari), BKU (Ekta Azad), Azad Kisan Samiti Doaba, BKU (Behramke), BKU (Shaheed Bhagat Singh) and BKU (Chhotu Ram).
