UP Wheat Procurement 2024 : Important news for the farmers of Uttar Pradesh. Government procurement of wheat has started from March 1 at the minimum support price for Rabi marketing year 2024-25. Which will run till June 15. The special thing is that this time the Yogi government has set the minimum support price (MSP) at Rs 2275 per quintal. Which is Rs 150 more than last year. For the sale of wheat, farmers are required to get registration-renewal done on the Food and Logistics Department's portal fcs.up.gov.in or on the mobile app UP KISHAN MITRA.

The purchase will continue till June 15

The state government has prepared a plan for purchasing wheat by setting up 6,500 purchasing centers across the state. Wheat procurement will continue from 9 am to 6 pm daily at purchasing centers till June 15, except Sundays and other holidays. Payment can be made only in the Aadhaar seeded (linked) bank accounts of farmers. Yogi government has estimated production of 114 million tonnes of wheat in 2024-25. In the last season 2022-23, 11.05 crore tonnes of wheat was produced. The Food and Logistics Department has made arrangements to pay the price of wheat through PFMS directly into the Aadhar linked account of the farmers within 48 hours.

Registration mandatory, helpline number released

Instructions have been given by the government that for the sale of wheat, it is mandatory for the farmers to get registration-renewal done on the Food and Logistics Department's portal and the department's mobile app UP Kisan Mitra. This year, wheat can also be sold by share cropping farmers after registering. Farmers have been requested to take the wheat for sale at the purchasing center only after sifting it, cleaning it of soil, pebbles, dust etc. and drying it thoroughly. For any emergency, the department has issued toll free number 18001800150.

CM's instructions - farmers should not face any problem

CM Yogi Adityanath has written while posting on social media platform X. That dear Annadata farmer brothers! The UP government has fixed the MSP of wheat at Rs 2,275 per quintal in the year 2024-25. Arrangements have been made to pay the price of wheat through PFMS directly into the Aadhaar linked account within 48 hours. I am happy that sharecropper farmers will also be able to register and sell their wheat this year. Our primary priority is that there should not be any problem during wheat procurement till June 15, 2024. Registration will be like this

• Farmers can register for the sale of wheat by visiting the Food Department's portal fcs.up.gov.in. The bank account of the applicant farmer should be linked to the Aadhar card.
• Registration can also be done through mobile app or Kisan Seva Kendra.
• Free registration or renewal can also be done at the purchasing centers operated for government procurement of paddy in the state.
• Farmers who have registered for the purchase of paddy in the 2023-24 season. They do not need to register for purchasing wheat. Such farmers will only have to undergo renewal.
