Milk Price Hike: By How Much Rupees Milk Will Be Costlier From August 1

 

Yuva Patrkaar, New Delhi : The ever increasing inflation is a matter of concern. Due to inflation, there is a big difference in the pocket of common people. Gradually, ordinary things are going out of reach of the common man. At present the month of July is going on. And as soon as the month of August starts, the general public is going to be hit by inflation. Let us tell you that buying milk of Nandini brand is going to be expensive now.

The new price will be effective from August 1

Actually, the decision has been taken by the Government of Karnataka. That the price of Nandini milk will be increased by Rs 3 per litre. The increased prices will be effective from August 1, 2023. This decision has been taken by the state government after a meeting of CM Siddaramaiah, Cooperative Minister KN Rajanna, Karnataka Milk Federation, District Milk Cooperative Societies and senior officials. However, no official order has been issued in this regard yet. A demand was made by the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) to increase the price by Rs 5 per liter to the government.

Reduction in purchase of milk

A KMF official says. That at present there has been a decrease in the purchase of milk. As compared to last year, the purchase of milk has reduced from 94 lakh liters daily to 86 lakh liters daily. Dairy farmers are selling milk to private companies due to less payment from the company. This has raised alarm bells for the dairy farmers. In such a situation, the target of increasing the price by Rs 3 per liter is to give benefit to the farmers.

In South India, it is number one in terms of buying and selling milk. KMF

Like Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which sells milk products under the Amul brand, Karnataka Cooperative Milk Producers Federation Limited (KMF) is the main company for dairy cooperatives in Karnataka. It ranks first in South India in terms of purchase and sale of milk. Like Amul, KMF collects milk from farmers. and sell it. KMF's products are sold in Karnataka under the name of milk and other dairy products called Nandini. The company has 16 Milk Unions.
