According to the information given on the website of NPCI, at present the limit for normal UPI payment will be only Rs 1 lakh. The limit for capital market collection, insurance and immediate inward remittance is Rs 2 lakh. Apart from this, the government has also given exemption from extra factor authentication on auto debit UPI payments up to Rs 1 lakh. Two years ago also, taking a similar decision, the limit of UPI payment under IPO subscription and retail direct scheme was increased to Rs 5 lakh.
There was no change in interest rates for the fifth consecutive time
Now it has been decided to implement this limit in hospitals and education system also. This has happened for the fifth consecutive time by the Reserve Bank of India. That no change of any kind has been made in the interest rates. RBI has kept the interest rates at 6.5% only, meaning loans will not be expensive and now your EMI burden will not increase. Last time, interest rates were increased by 0.25% to 6.5% in February 2023 by RBI. There has been no change in the interest rates from RBI in the last few months.
