IAS Srishti Dabas Success Story: Srishti Dabas, a resident of Delhi, has made a mark in the country's toughest examination—the UPSC Civil Services Exam. Her journey proves that history can be created on the very first attempt, even without formal coaching. Srishti secured All India Rank 6 (AIR 6) in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023 in her debut attempt.

Born on October 13, 1998, Srishti was a bright student from the very beginning. She completed her schooling at Ganga International School in Delhi. In the 2016-17 academic year, she topped her school in the CBSE Class 12 board examinations by securing 96.33% marks. Subsequently, she pursued her graduation in Political Science from Indraprastha College, University of Delhi, and later obtained a Master’s degree in the same subject from IGNOU.

Srishti's journey was not easy. After completing her education, she was selected as a Grade II officer (HR branch) at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Prior to this, she had also served in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. While working an 8-to-9-hour shift at the RBI in Mumbai, she would spend hours at night preparing for the exam. She utilized every spare moment for her studies; even during lunch breaks at the office, she would visit the library to study instead of resting.

Balancing a job with exam preparation was a major challenge, yet Srishti maintained faith in herself and prepared solely through self-study, without any coaching assistance. She understood the syllabus, created notes, and practiced consistently. The result was that she secured All India Rank 6 in the 2023 Civil Services Examination, scoring 862 marks in the written exam and 186 marks in the interview, totaling 1048 marks.

Beyond her academic excellence, Srishti is also an accomplished Kathak dancer. She is admired on social media for her simplicity, grace, and multifaceted talent. People regard her as a perfect example of "beauty with brains." Srishti Dabas's story is a tremendous inspiration for every student. Her success demonstrates that with discipline, hard work, and efforts directed in the right direction, even the most challenging goals can be achieved.
