Shahrukh, Akshay & Ajay Devgan's Problems increased in Gutkha Advertisement Case, Central Govt Sent Notice
YuvaPatrkaar : The troubles of Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar, Shahrukh Khan and Ajay Devgan seem to be increasing due to advertising for tobacco companies. Recently, the Central Government has informed the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court that it has issued a notice to Akshay, Shahrukh and Ajay in the matter of promoting Gutkha companies.
The Centre's counsel informed the High Court that the Supreme Court is also hearing the same issue. And in such a situation the petition should be dismissed immediately. The court has fixed the next hearing for 9 May 2024.
A bench of Justice Rajesh Singh Chauhan had earlier directed the Central government to decide on the representation of the petitioner, who had originally argued that action should be taken against stars and dignitaries who were given high profile awards, but They were advertising for gutkha companies.

The petitioner argued that a representation was given to the government on October 22, but no action was taken in the matter. After this, while hearing the contempt petition, the High Court had issued a notice to the Cabinet Secretary of the Central Government. On Friday, Deputy Solicitor General SB Pandey told the High Court that the Center has issued show cause notices to Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgan.
It was also informed that actor Amitabh Bachchan has sent a legal notice to the concerned pan masala brand for featuring him in the advertisement despite the contract being terminated. The Central Government's advocate gave this information during the hearing on the contempt petition in the High Court.
