More than 18 crore people are associated with both these schemes run by the Central Government.

This is how common people get the benefits of schemes

At present, under the National Food Security Act, food grains are being provided to the people at the rate of one to three rupees per kg. Under this scheme, poor families get 5 kg of grains per person every month. Similarly, 35 kg of grains are distributed monthly to the families under Antyodaya Anna Yojana. This announcement has been made by PM Modi even before the timeline of Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana is completed. This scheme was started during the Corona period. At that time, grains were provided to the people for free through this.

This scheme was started in the year 2013

Now NFSA scheme has also been included in it by the government. This proposal has also been approved by the cabinet. Now the beneficiaries will not have to make any payment for the grains. NFSA was started by the Central Government in the year 2013. Through this scheme, common people also get the benefits of the scheme in all 36 states. For this, a budget of billions of rupees is spent annually by the central government. Its main objective is to provide food grains to poor people.
