Deal Fixed Between IRCTC and Swiggy, Passengers Will Get Food of Their Choice at These Stations

 

IRCTC Swiggy Deal: Indian Railways makes continuous efforts to provide facilities to the passengers and make their journey easier. Now Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation i.e. IRCTC has joined hands with food delivery company Swiggy to provide food of their choice to the passengers (IRCTC Swiggy Deal).

After this deal, now passengers at many railway stations of the country will get the facility to order food from Swiggy through the e-Catering portal. Initially four railway stations have been selected. But gradually it will be started at more stations also.

Facility will be available at these four stations

IRCTC gave information about the deal with Swiggy in its stock exchange filing. This facility will currently be available at Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Bhubaneswar and Bengaluru railway stations. IRCTC has signed a deal with Bundle Technologies Pvt. Ltd. In the first phase of which orders will be taken from IRCTC e-Catering portal. Bundle Technologies Private Limited is the parent company of Swiggy, Foods.

Stock performance

IRCTC shares closed at Rs 938 on Thursday with a rise of 1.32 per cent. On Friday, this stock started trading at Rs 948.05. This stock has given a return of 47.98% to investors in six months. The return in the period of one year was recorded at 59.61%.

Let us tell you that the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Parliament had recently presented a report in the Lok Sabha and raised questions about the food served in trains. The committee said that changes are being made in the railway catering policy again and again. Due to poor implementation of existing policies, hygiene and food quality are being compromised.
