Delhi Metro: Letter Written To Haryana Govt, Center & DMRC in Preparation For Metro Extension From New Delhi To Kundli, Sonipat
Delhi Metro: Haryana Govt is ready to bring metro from New Delhi to Kundli, Sonipat. An official letter has been written to the Central Govt and Delhi Govt for this. Work is underway on a plan to extend the metro from Narela in Delhi. Haryana has already requested for this. That if the DPR report for metro extension till Narela is ready, then Haryana should be informed. Haryana Govt is ready to expand metro from Narela to Kundli at its own expense.
Congress MLA from Sonipat Surendra Panwar had raised this issue in the Assembly on Tuesday. He said that more than 30 thousand people commute to New Delhi from Sonipat every day. Apart from servicemen, students, working women are also included in these. Trains from Sonipat run fully loaded. Sonipat needs metro the most.
Govt's intentions are positive
Responding on behalf of the CM, Agriculture Minister Jaiprakash Dalal said that the intention of the Govt is positive. We want metro extension till Sonipat. But first DPR up to Narela will be made. The project of high speed train from New Delhi to Panipat has also been approved. Haryana is making efforts for its construction soon.

Rs 6274 lakh approved for Kosli bypass: Deputy CM
Haryana Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala said that a bypass will be built in Kosli. For this, approval of Rs 6274.16 lakh has also been given. Chautala was answering the question of MLA Laxman Yadav during the winter session of the Assembly here on Tuesday. He said that no Govt land is available for the construction of Kosli bypass. Private land has to be purchased. The matter of land purchase was taken up through the e-Bhoomi portal, but the outcome could not be reached due to the demand of very high rates from the land owners. Efforts in this regard are still ongoing. The Deputy CM also requested the questioning MLA to convince the concerned people to provide land.
