Delhi Weather: Delhiites Got Alert of Dense Fog & Severe Cold
Delhi Weather: There is still cold wave in the country's capital Delhi. People are worried about the continuous decline in maximum day temperature in Delhi NCR for the last few days. The record temperature dropped to 16 degrees. While the lowest temperature is around 11 degrees. The cold wave will not subside for the next five days. India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in view of the changing weather in Delhi. He has appealed to the people to go out only when necessary.
IMBD's orange alert makes it clear. That the weather has worsened in Delhi NCR. In such a situation, you should not only keep an eye on yourself, but also avoid leaving the house. Leave the house when necessary. More caution should be taken in such circumstances. Orange alert in winter is a sign of deep fog and cold wave.
Don't expect relief until January 4th
The temperature in Delhi was 15.9 degrees Celsius, five degrees below normal in the last 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department said. The lowest temperature was 11.7 degrees Celsius, which was five degrees above normal. IMDI said there was moderate to dense fog in many parts of North India, including Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted no relief till January 4, 2024.

Green effect on 50 air flights
As of 9 am on Sunday, the weather department recorded 900 meters visibility in Palam, while 500 meters in Safdarjung. The lowest visibility in Palam was 700 meters at 8 am. Dense fog has increased caution in railway operations. Which has affected the departure and arrival time of trains. Flight schedules are also being affected. Many flights are getting delayed. And some will probably have to be canceled. Around twenty-five flights have been delayed due to dense fog till eight in the morning.

This includes disruptions to domestic and overseas departures and arrivals. Visibility of 800 meters was recorded at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. Due to fog, many trains coming to Delhi region are running late. Due to which the passengers are disappointed. 23 trains are behind their scheduled arrival time. And the extent of delay varies on various routes.
AQI is still very bad. The PM 2.5 level at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) T3 was 382 and the PM10 level was 306, both in the 'very poor' category. "Satisfactory" rating was maintained at CO level 80. Passengers are urged to stay updated about the real-time schedule and plan their journey accordingly as visibility reduces due to dense fog in the morning.
