Delhi Will Get Relief From Traffic, This Expressway Will Open on New Year
Expressway: Actually, we are talking about Dwarka Expressway. Its aim is to reduce traffic congestion in Delhi and Gurugram. People in the National Capital Region are better aware of the morning and evening rush of Delhi and Gurugram, the two largest cities of NCR. Therefore, the government reduced the traffic on this route by building the Dwarka Expressway. One million people will directly benefit from this expressway, which makes its importance clear.

Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the expressway will remain open till December 2023. In fact, work is still going on on both parts of the expressway. According to construction companies, the Delhi section will be commissioned by January 2024. However, a 3.6 km stretch towards Delhi is still being constructed. And the work of connecting IGI airport is still going on.

According to reports, a portion towards Gurugram is also under construction. The entire expressway was divided into four parts. Two parts are towards Delhi and two parts are towards Gurugram. The construction was targeted to be completed by May 2023, but this did not happen. Construction work is still going on at many places in Gurugram area. Therefore, neither Delhi nor Gurugram has been able to restore its glory.

Is the expressway growing?
Dwarka Expressway is only 29 km long. Whereas expressways are built between long cities. 10.1 km is under construction in Delhi and 18.9 km in Gurugram. With the opening of the expressway, the traffic load on Delhi-Gurugram Expressway will be reduced by about 40%. This means. That passengers will get relief from morning and evening traffic jams between the two cities.
