Electric Bus Service Will Be Available in 9 Cities of Haryana

 

Haryana News: Haryana government will start electric city bus service in nine cities of the state. Chief Minister Manohar Lal will start electric city bus service from Siwah, the largest village of Panipat, on January 29. The state government has ordered 375 buses. The objective of this initiative is not only to provide the benefit of easy transportation service to the residents of nine cities. But also to ensure zero pollution and contribute to environmental sustainability.

Service will be available in nine cities of Haryana

Haryana Transport Minister Pandit Moolchand Sharma informed that these buses will operate under Haryana City Bus Service Limited. This bus service is a government corporation. Which has been formed under the Transport Department to provide local city bus services in nine cities of Haryana including Panipat, Yamunanagar, Panchkula, Ambala, Karnal, Sonipat, Rewari, Rohtak and Hisar. Pandit Moolchand Sharma said that separate city bus service depots are being built in all the nine cities. Whose estimated cost is Rs 115 crore.

Order given for 375 buses

To facilitate bus operations, orders for 375 buses have already been placed. And in the first phase, Chief Minister Manohar Lal will start city bus service at the new bus stand in Siwa, Panipat. He informed that this initiative will mark an important milestone in Haryana's commitment towards green and modern public transport, projecting the state's vision for a sustainable and eco-friendly future.
