Electric Buses Will Run in Panipat & Yamunanagar From January 26, Know When Your City Will Get This Facility

 

Haryana Electric Bus: After the national capital Delhi, now electric buses are going to run in Haryana also. Haryana Roadways Department has announced to soon run electric buses on the roads of the state. Under this important initiative, electric buses will be run from Yamunanagar and Panipat on 26 January 2024.

Will run first in Panipat and Yamunanagar

Panipat Roadways GM Kuldeep Bangar said that the High Power Purchase Committee has ordered to run 375 AC buses in nine districts of the state. Each city will have twenty-five buses, but Panipat and Yamunanagar have been selected first. Because their bus stands are well prepared. And buses may start soon.

Under the simple contract model, the bus driver company will be paid per km, and the Haryana government will choose the conductors. For this the company will have to pay Rs 6.50 per unit. In addition, a management committee will be formed, which will include government and departmental officials. It will impose heavy fines on companies if they are negligent.

The Joint Transport Commissioner said that the buses can run about 115 km on a single charge. These buses will run at low fares in the city and surrounding villages. The design and colors of the buses will be unique, which will make them different from other states.
