Goods Trains Will Running on New Tracks From November 20-2023
Haryana News: As you know. That the work of laying railway track for goods trains is being done from Ludhiana to Kolkata. This work is now in its final stages. Let us tell you that the first goods train will run on this track on 20th November. By the time the month of December arrives, you will see around 40 goods trains running on the new line laid from Ludhiana to Son Nagar Junction in Bihar.

At present, all trains like Express Shatabdi, Vande Bharat, goods train are running on the same track. Due to the operation of new lines, there will be a decrease in the number of trains on the main line. With the laying of new tracks, options for new vehicles are also opening up in Haryana and Punjab. At the same time, the speed of the trains will also be faster than before, due to which there will be an option to run more special trains on the festival. At present there is a compulsion to run special trains from Northern Railway. The number of trains on Punjab and Haryana routes is already very high.

Now from November 20 onwards, movement of goods trains will be visible from Sahnewal in Punjab to Son Nagar in Bihar through the dedicated rail freight corridor from Punjab to Bihar and from Punjab to Kolkata. Its trial has also been done till New Khurja of Sahnewal, Ludhiana. For your information, let us tell you that there are 1058 km of rail lines for this project in Uttar Pradesh, 72 km of rail lines for this project in Haryana, 88 km in Punjab, 239 km in Bihar, 196 km in Jharkhand and 203 km in West Bengal.
