Haryana Roadways conductor Dharamveer was posted from Sonipat to Chandigarh depot. To give relief to the passengers from the heat, Dharamveer used to keep the campers filled with cold water in the bus and used to give water to the passengers in between. Apart from this, Haryana Roadways also provides free travel facility to women on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Last year, women were given free travel facility on Rakshabandhan starting from 12:00 noon on 10th August till 12:00 noon on 11th August. Due to which women got a lot of convenience and they did not have to face much trouble to go to their brother's house.
Facilities for Elderly Passengers
Apart from this, Haryana Roadways also gives concession in fare to the elderly passengers. Elderly people do not have any means of earning, so they have been given the facility of up to 50 percent discount in the fare for traveling in roadways. Apart from this, a few days ago, the Social Welfare Department of Haryana Government had decided that the requirement of senior citizen ID card should be abolished for the exemption of bus fare to the elderly. As such, the age of 60 years for women passengers and 65 years for men was fixed.
