Indian Railways: More Than 50 Thousand Passengers of Sonipat District Got Relief
Sonipat News: Fares were increased by the Railways during the Covid period. At present, Railways has withdrawn the increased fare. Passengers traveling in passenger trains will now be charged the old slab fare. After midnight, the new fare was updated on the Railways' UTS system and mobile app. After this, passengers taking tickets got the benefit of lower fares.
50 Thousand passengers of the district got relief
More than 50 thousand passengers of Sonipat district have got good news due to reduction in fares. And on a daily basis, there will be a saving of eight lakh rupees in his pocket. In the year 2020, Railways started running all passenger trains as express trains. Due to which the fare had increased three times. With the implementation of the old fare slab, the minimum fare has now become Rs 10.

Panipat fare also reduced
Due to which the fare of all stations from Sonipat to New Delhi has reduced from Rs 30 to Rs 10, while the fare of Hazrat Nizamuddin has reduced from Rs 35 to Rs 15. Similarly, fares in Panipat have also reduced by up to 50 percent. Where earlier you had to pay Rs 30 as fare, now you will have to pay Rs 15.

Demands were being raised for a long time
For a long time, demands were being raised from the passengers to reduce the fare of unreserved special trains. The members of the Railway Advisory Committee had also raised the issue in the meeting regarding this. Railway CPRO, Deepak Kumar said that the reduced fares of passenger trains have been implemented with immediate effect. Fares for trains which do not have sleepers and such coaches have been reduced. Passenger trains operate only with normal coaches.
