Speaking on the mega plan of Railways on Wednesday, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishwan said that many schemes will be completed soon for the convenience of passengers. They discussed many important schemes including armor system to reduce accidents, increasing the number of trains and introduction of bullet trains. Also, he said that the waiting list of trains will end by 2029.

Railway's mega plan
A few days before Vaishnav's statement, sources said that Railways is planning to greatly increase the number of trains to eliminate the waiting list. It was said in the news that Indian Railways is planning to add 3,000 more passenger trains in the next five years. Due to which the waiting list will be reduced. The number of trains was not mentioned in the statement issued by the Railway Minister on Wednesday. But he would have announced to end the waiting list of trains by 2029.

vigorous work on armor
The Railway Minister also said that bullet trains will start in 2026. Construction of armor system on Delhi-Kolkata and Delhi-Mumbai routes will be completed next year to reduce rail accidents. Elephants coming on the track will be saved with Gajraj technology. For this, Gajraj technology is being installed on 700 km of railway tracks in 8 states.

There will be no sleeper coaches in India by 2024
The Railway Minister said that last year 5243 km of railway tracks were built in the country. This year, long roads ranging from 5500 km to 6 thousand km will be built. The armor was first used in 2016 to reduce rail accidents, he said. Next came the latest version of the armor. Its installation will start in 2022. Also, he said that the first sleeper Vande will arrive in India by March 2024.
