Metro Update: Orders issued To Build 11 New Metro Stations in NCR

Metro Update: Now the change in Noida-Greno West Metro route will increase both the number of stations and the budget. Now there will be not nine but eleven stations on this route. In the first phase there will be seven stations instead of five. This route will be two and a hal km longer.

Aqua Line metro runs between Greno and Noida. This line goes from Sector-50, 76, Phase-2 to 142. And Pari goes towards the square. NMRC (Noida Metro Rail Corporation) is now trying to connect this line to Greno West. Earlier, DPR was made to run metro from Baba Balaknath Temple in Sector-51 to Sector-72 directly from Parthala Bridge towards Kisan Chowk. The UP Cabinet had approved the DPR four years ago, but this year the Central Government expressed objection to this route and refused to approve it. The reason for this was that there was no direct connectivity between Sector-52 Blue Line and Sector-51 Aqua Line stations.

NMRC is now preparing to run the metro on a new route. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has started preparing the Detailed Project Report (DPPR) of the new route for this. If official sources are to be believed, the DPR will be ready in the next 10 to 12 days. The metro will run on the entire route from Sector-51 to Knowledge Park-5. Now not nine but eleven stations will be built on this route. Till now this route was about 14 km long. Now it will be about sixteen and a half km. In the first phase, the metro will go from Sector-51 to Sector-2 of Greno West.

In this way Blue Line and Aqua Line will be connected

According to preliminary reports, the new and first station of Aqua Line Extension will be built in front of Sector-61. Aqua Line and Blue Line will connect to Delhi from this station. Later, a second station will be built between Kailash Hospital and Dharampal Satyapal Group Road in front of Sector-70. Both these stations will be completely new. After this, stations will be built in Sector-122, 123 of Noida and Sector-4, Ecotech-12 and Sector-2 of Greno West area, which are included in the earlier route. The route of the first phase will be approximately two and a half km long.

DPR will be made soon

Note that people have started protesting every Sunday. Because there is a delay in running the metro till Greno West. NMRC officials said that the DPR of the new route will be prepared soon, which will take the process forward. The value of this route was Rs 2200 crore, but now it will be around Rs 2700 crore. This will lead to an additional cost of approximately Rs 500 crore on this metro line.

Approval is expected in the board meeting this month

According to the sources received, DMRC will prepare the DPR and submit it to NMRC in the next 10 to 12 days. Later, NMRC will place this DPR in the board meeting for approval. NMRC board meeting may be held on December 27. There is also a plan to hold a board meeting of Noida Authority regarding this. The board meeting of NMRC and Noida-Greno Authority will also approve the DPR of this route. After this it will be presented to the Uttar Pradesh government for approval.
