Mumbai: The rains are continuing in Mumbai even in the beginning of November. The rains also appeared in Mumbai, Thane, Palghar on Sunday, causing the holidays of the employees to be 'watered down'. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the rains will continue for at least another 24 hours. Moderate showers are expected in Mumbai and Konkan on Monday.
According to the information given by the Meteorological Department, a low pressure area has formed in the Arabian Sea. This area is moving towards the north and northeast. It is likely to move towards the coast of Kutch in Gujarat and become sparse by Monday night. The effect of this area will continue throughout the day on Monday. Therefore, some rain has been predicted on Monday as well. However, the intensity of the rain is expected to decrease from Tuesday.
Due to the low pressure area formed in the Arabian Sea, rains are continuing in Mumbai, Konkan coast, Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra. Heavy rains occurred in Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts of Konkan on Friday and Saturday. On Saturday night, an average of 80 mm of rain was recorded in some places there. There was heavy rain in Mahamumbai on Sunday as well. There was not much rain in Mumbai city till afternoon. However, clouds gathered after 4 pm. There were occasional showers till evening. Between 8.30 am and 8.30 pm on Sunday, 28 mm of rain was recorded in Colaba, while 24 mm of rain was recorded in Santacruz.
It rained in Navi Mumbai from morning till afternoon. However, it rained in Thane from morning till evening. There were also occasional showers in Kalyan, Dombivali, Mira-Bhayander, Vasai-Virar areas. Due to the rain that fell for about an hour after Sunday afternoon in Kalyan-Dombivli, potholes on the roads reared their heads again. Farmers in the district are worried due to the heavy rains that started early Sunday morning. They have suffered huge losses as their harvested rice crop has been soaked. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of some rain on Monday as well due to the low pressure area in the Arabian Sea, but the intensity of the rain will decrease from Tuesday.

It was sunny at 11 am, but rain returned after noon. Due to this unexpected rain, the rice crop that the farmers had harvested has been soaked. This has left the farmers worried.
