Mumbai Trans Harbor Link: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday will cover the distance in just 15 minutes on Mumbai's Trans Harbor Link ocean bridge, which till now it used to take two hours for Mumbaikars to cover. After that he will inaugurate India's longest bridge 'Atal Setu'. Till now, people going from Mumbai to Navi Mumbai in their four-wheeler had to travel a long distance and in about two hours through heavy traffic, the same route can be done in just 15 minutes through the Mumbai Trans Harbor Link (MTHL), which is going to open from January 12. This 21.8 km long sea bridge will be the longest sea bridge ever built in India. Vehicles will be able to run at a speed of 100 km on this bridge, which has three lanes each on two sides (total six lanes) and one emergency lane on each side. On Friday evening, Prime Minister Modi will start his journey on this bridge from Sivari side of Mumbai, after observing the entire bridge, he will reach near the under-construction international airport of Navi Mumbai within a few minutes.

PM will name this bridge 'Atal Setu'
There he will address a large gathering and name this bridge 'Atal Setu'. Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, Metropolitan Commissioner of Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), calls this bridge a 'gamechanger'. That 70,000 vehicles will pass through it every day. According to Mukherjee, this bridge, built at a cost of Rs 17,843 crore, has been completed in record time. Its construction work started in April, 2018, and now it will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi on Friday.
