New Electric Buses Will Soon Join Roadways Fleet
Haryana Electric Bus: Electric buses will be available in Haryana from January. Buses will start from Yamunanagar and Panipat. Roadways has decided to operate 375 buses. Five of which will come into service from January.
These buses will also be run in urban and rural areas. The buses will be 45 seater. Electric buses will be run at a distance of 25 to 30 kilometers from the district headquarters.
There were requests to operate buses in different districts, hence district wise routes have also been determined. Roadways plan to purchase many electric buses.
The buses can run up to 225 km on a single charge.
Yamunanagar Roadways General Manager Ashok Kaushik said that the bus can be driven up to 225 kilometers on a single charge. He said that each depot will have ten to twelve charging stations and a bus will be fully charged in five to six hours. Electronic buses will be flagged off by Chief Minister Manohar Lal in Panipat and Transport Minister Moolchand Sharma in Yamunanagar.

Electric buses will run in nine cities first
First, there is a plan to run electric buses in nine cities in Haryana. These include. Panipat, Yamunanagar, Panchkula, Karnal, Ambala, Sonipat, Rohtak, Hisar and Rewari.
In the first phase, bus services will be provided in nine cities.
Haryana plans to purchase 375 buses by April. These electric buses will first be run in nine cities. At present, it will start from Panipat and Yamunanagar on January 29. Installation of charging, repair and washing stations has started in both these districts. And it will be completed by Sunday.
