Noida Airport: A big news is coming regarding Noida International Airport, the largest airport of Uttar Pradesh. In fact, work on the plan to connect the airport to UP's longest expressway, Ganga Expressway, has started at a rapid pace.
According to the information, the route design of the 74 km long proposed link expressway connecting Noida International Airport to Ganga Expressway is being prepared. In this regard, Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) held a meeting on Thursday and discussed the outline of the 20 km long section of the project. This part will pass through the jurisdiction of YEIDA. Officials said that its detailed design process has started.
If reports are to be believed, the new Greenfield Link Expressway proposed in Noida will be about 120 meters wide. It will start from near Film City located on the 24th KM of Yamuna Expressway. This link expressway will reach the 44.3 kilometer point of Ganga Expressway near Syana in Bulandshahr district. The objective of this project is to directly connect the districts of western Uttar Pradesh like Meerut, Bulandshahr, Khurja and Sayana to Jewar Airport.
The proposed route was discussed in the meeting
If reports are to be believed, in this meeting, UPEIDA Additional Chief Executive Officer SP Shahi and YEIDA CEO RK Singh have together discussed the proposed route. During this period, engineering structures like underpasses, U-turns and elevated stretches were also considered in detail, so that the connectivity of nearby sectors and villages could be improved.
Expressway will pass through the land of 56 villages
Let us tell you that the route of Noida Airport Link Expressway will pass through the land of a total of 56 villages. These lands will be acquired with the consent of the farmers. At present, the determination of compensation rates is under process.
Estimated cost of the project
The estimated cost of the project is around Rs 60 crore per kilometer excluding land acquisition. After the construction of the expressway, passengers will have the facility to reach Noida International Airport directly from Ganga Expressway.
