Now This Highway Will Reach From India To Abroad, Work Will Be Completed By 2027

 

New Highway Big Update: On the stretch of the only Stilwell Road built from India to China during World War II, the Asian Highway is being worked on in the spirit of war. From Manipur this highway leads to Myanmar and then Thailand. The Modi govt biggest project, the Eastern Policy Act, is now 70 percent complete.

When is it expected to be completed?

There is a plan to build this highway by 2027. After this it will become easy to go to Thailand from India. Instead of air travel, people can travel to Thailand by car. The three countries together are constructing the India-Myanmar-Thailand Highway. Whose total length is about 1,400 km. This project was proposed by the then Vajpayee govt but remained limited to documents. Work on this project started after the Modi govt came to power in 2014.

This highway connecting three countries starts from Kolkata. And goes up to Siliguri before entering Assam from the Bengal border at Srirampura via Cooch Behar. After traveling through Assam to Dimapur and Nagaland, this route leads to a foreign land i.e. from a place called Moreh near Imphal in Manipur. Hour. For Myanmar. Travelers enter Thailand via Bago and Yangon in Myanmar.
