Transport Department Director Pradyuman Singh issued an order on Thursday saying that from December 16, 2023 to February 15, 2024, fares for non-AC buses will be charged on AC buses. He said that 80 electric buses of CTU and 80 midi buses of SML do not have heating systems. AC buses have higher fares than non-AC buses. To get a bus pass, the fare for AC buses is Rs 900 and for non-AC buses, the fare is Rs 700.

From December 16 to February 15, the fare for non-AC buses will also be charged for AC buses.

Passengers will get benefit of ₹200

Many citizens do government and private jobs. For which they have to travel in AC and non-AC buses every day. At the same time, students studying in schools, colleges and universities also have to travel by buses every day. In such a situation, students and government and private employees get bus passes made. Now they are going to get a benefit of Rs 200 by getting the bus pass made. Because the fare for AC buses will be Rs 700 instead of Rs 900 like non-AC buses.
