With the important contribution of Rinku Singh, Aligarh cricket is getting a new direction. Its success inspired the Aligarh Development Authority (ADA), which includes an international standard stadium. This scheme is being developed in about 300 hectare area on Aligarh-Palwal National Highway.

ADA's Greater Aligarh Housing Scheme has allocated a budget of around Rs 400 crore for the stadium, which will be built over a six-acre area. Land is being acquired in the villages of Musepur, Jirauli, Jirauli Dor, Atalpur, Ahmedabad, Jatanpur Chikawati, Rustampur Akhan and Lahausra Bisawan.
The township will be built in three phases, with an international stadium on about four acres of land, which will be built by a consultancy firm in Lucknow. The stadium will be designed like the International Stadium of Banaras.

Till now there are three cricket stadiums in Uttar Pradesh. Greenpark of Kanpur, Ekana Stadium of Lucknow and Stadium of Banaras. Whereas the proposed stadium in Aligarh has a capacity of around 20,000 people.
