Roadways Released New Update in Delhi-NCR, These Buses Will Not Run on January 1, 2024, Know Complete List

From January 1, 2024, 32 old buses of Rajasthan Roadways will not run in Delhi and NCR region. The biggest reason for this is the continuously increasing pollution in Delhi and surrounding areas. Rajasthan Roadways is now facing a big challenge. What will be the options for roadways passengers going towards NCR and Delhi. These days the Roadways Department is busy solving this problem. The country's capital Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) face dangerous pollution every year. Many alternative measures have been taken to reduce this pollution. But no one has been completely successful. Delhi government had also tried odd-even on the roads, but it was not successful. Now a new decision has been taken to reduce pollution in Delhi and NCR from January 1. As a result, entry of old vehicles will be prohibited in Delhi and NCR region. Technically, only electric, CNG and B6 engine vehicles will be allowed to enter Delhi.

108 Roadways buses go towards NCR and Delhi.

Rajasthan Roadways MD Nathmal Didel said that the Rajasthan Roadways department wants to purchase new buses quickly. Procurement of buses on contract is in the final stage. The first buses with B6 engines were purchased. At present, 108 buses of Rajasthan Roadways ply towards the National Capital Region (NCR) and Delhi. Of these buses, 76 buses have B6 engines. But the Roadways Department is still considering several measures to save 32 buses.

32 buses with B6 engines will be purchased from other stations in the state.

The Roadways Department will replace 32 such buses from other depots in the state which have B6 engine buses. Until new buses are found. That means the quota of 108 buses will go towards Delhi and NCR, but old buses will be run in the state. In simple words, the pollution from which NCR and Delhi will be saved will now spread to Rajasthan. Adding new buses to the roadways fleet will be the permanent solution to this problem.
