School Timing Change Big Update: Due to dense fog, Uttar Pradesh government has declared holiday in schools on Thursday and Friday. Apart from this, the timing of classes has also been changed.

News agency IANS reported that the timings of all schools from class 1 to 8 have been extended from 10 am to 3 pm. The District Magistrate has ordered the closure of all board schools (from class 1 to 12) on Thursday and Friday.
Mathura also has classes from 10 am to 3 pm. Officials said schools for classes 1 to 8 in Jalaun will remain closed till December 31.
Also, the Uttar Pradesh government has declared a five-day winter holiday from December 31, 2023, to January 14, 2023.
Continuous cold wave in North India
On Wednesday, a heavy layer of smog covered Uttar Pradesh, affecting normal life. Visibility was less than 20 meters in some places.
At least eight people died and 30 others were injured in several road accidents in the state due to dense fog. Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) estimates. There will be dense fog on Thursday and Friday also.
