UP Roadways Buses Will Go To Nepal, Passengers Will Be Able To Travel Till This District, Know Details

 

Roadways Buses: Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation buses will run to Nepalganj, the district headquarters of Banke in the neighboring country of Nepal. The survey work of transport service between the two countries has been completed. The formalities for international permit have also been completed. Transport Corporation buses will be able to ferry passengers from Nepalgunj to five states of India. This step of the government will not only strengthen the relations between the two countries, but will also strengthen it on the economic front.

The open border between India and Nepal is proving to be a strong trade link for both the countries. Most of the citizens of 10 districts including Banke, Dang, Dailekh, Kanchanpur, Kailali, Surkhet, Mugu, Jajarkot, Jumla, Humla along the border, reach Rupaidiha border in various states of India in search of employment. In order to provide facilities to these citizens and provide direct financial assistance to Nepal, an agreement has been signed by the Government of India to operate the buses of the Transport Corporation from Nepalgunj.

On the basis of the agreement, the team of Indian Corporation officials had recently provided the survey report to the government. Now an application has also been made for international permit for transport service. The permit is expected to be approved soon.

Most buses will run to Delhi, Haridwar and Lucknow

Even though the corporation is making preparations to operate roadways buses from Nepalgunj to five states, most of the buses will run on the routes of Delhi, Haridwar and Lucknow only. Apart from this, operation of one bus each for Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Himachal is being considered.

Giving information about this, Prem Kumar, ARM, Bahraich Transport Corporation, said that the survey regarding operation of 15 roadways buses between the two countries has been completed. Roadways buses are to operate till Nepalganj. Applications are being made for permits.
