Weather Alert: Severe Cold Alert issued For People of Haryana & Delhi
Weather Alert: Winter continues across North India. Cold wave and fog have made people more worried. Meteorological Department (IMD) says. There will be no respite from the double attack of cold and fog in a few days. Night temperatures have dropped in the plains of Punjab and Haryana. Due to which there has been severe cold wave in the northern plains. The coldest cities are Ludhiana, Patiala, Barnala, Pathankot, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Chandigarh, Ambala, Hisar, Karnal, Panipat Narnaul, Sikar, Pilani, Churu, Alwar and Ganganagar. Whose minimum temperatures are 1°C and 1.8°C.
The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert due to heavy fog and cold wave in Punjab and Haryana on Tuesday and Wednesday. Also, there is an orange alert of cold wave in all areas of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
Low visibility, more traffic due to fog
Train and airplane services are affected in North India due to cold wave and fog. Many flights had to be canceled due to zero visibility. In such a situation, the problems of people traveling by air increase. Visibility of 100 meters was recorded at Palam Airport in Delhi at 7 am today. Whereas the visibility of Safdarjung was up to 50 meters. There is dense fog in many areas of Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. Zero visibility has been recorded in Varanasi, Agra, Gwalior, Jammu, Pathankot and Chandigarh.

There is continuous dense fog in Delhi. It is very cold in the capital due to cold wave. The minimum temperature of Delhi can be 4 to 6 degrees Celsius. (IMD). The highest temperature can be 22 to 24 degrees Celsius.
Due to dense fog in Delhi, trains and flights are running behind schedule. Due to which the passengers are facing a lot of trouble. The temperature is continuously falling due to snowfall in the plains of North India.

country weather
According to Skymet report, cold day to severe cold day conditions are likely at one or two places. In parts of Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar and in north-western Rajasthan. At the same time, cold wave has been predicted in some parts of Punjab, Rajasthan and Haryana. Dense fog may occur over parts of Western Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, Western Madhya Pradesh and Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Light rain and snowfall is also possible at one or two places in the upper parts of the Western Himalayas. At the same time, there may be light rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Assam and Sikkim. Apart from this, light rain is likely at one or two places over Kerala, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Odisha.
