UP Govt: The government has provided important facilities to the passengers traveling in AC buses. Yogi government has decided to give 10% discount in fares to bus passengers for traveling in air-conditioned buses in winter.

There will be discount in air-conditioned buses from December 16. Special winter discount available on fares from December 16, 2023 to February 28, 2024.

Disabled people will get the facility to travel in Rajdhani buses.

The Transport Minister said that the newly created Rajdhani service does not have travel facilities for disabled persons. He said that the officials of the Transport Corporation should provide facilities to the people to travel in Rajdhani service buses. The fares of Rajdhani service buses are now at par with normal buses. They said. Rajdhani service buses transport disabled people like normal buses.

Decision taken in view of less vehicles

Uttar Pradesh's Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge) Dayashankar Singh said that fares in air-conditioned buses will be reduced by 10 percent in the winter season. He said that with the onset of winter the fares have come down due to lack of passengers in air-conditioned buses. The Transport Minister said that the fare for 3×2 air-conditioned buses will now be Rs 1.47 per km per seat.

That the fare for air-conditioned 2×2 buses will be Rs 1.74 per seat, air-conditioned sleeper buses will be Rs 2.33 per seat, and Valbo (high end) will be Rs 2.58 per km per seat. He was told that the discussion was held with the aim of improving air-conditioned services. Fuel usage is less in winter. At the same time, higher fare reduces the load factor.
