Yogi Govt Made a Big Announces, Industrial Corridor Will Be Built Near Expressway in UP

 

UP New Industrial Corridor: Yogi government has increased connectivity by building new highways in Uttar Pradesh. Now there is also an idea to create an industrial center along these highways and convert it into an industrial corridor. On the instructions of CM Yogi, UPEDA (Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority) has selected sites for industrial centres. As per the plan, UPEDA will create industrial hubs along five highways in the state. These include Agra-Lucknow Expressway, Purvanchal Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway, Gorakhpur Link Expressway and Ganga Expressway. The estimated cost to the Yogi government will be Rs 7,000 crore.

Six places have also been named on the Bundelkhand Expressway, which connects seven districts. It is estimated that more than Rs 1500 crore will be spent on 1884 hectares of land.

Nomination of 30 locations and more than 5800 hectares of land

Similarly, five places have been selected in ten districts connected to the Agra-Lucknow Expressway. Its area is 532 hectares. And approximately Rs 650 crore will be spent on its development. On the other hand, five locations have been selected for the industrial corridor connecting nine districts with a proposed area of 1586 hectares on the Purvanchal Expressway. Whose estimated expenditure will be Rs 2,300 crore. Gorakhpur Link Expressway is the fifth and final highway. Two places in its four districts have been selected for industrial centres. Whose estimated expenditure is Rs 320 crore. And has an area of 345 hectares. In total, 30 locations have been detected on these five highways. Whose area is more than 5800 hectares.

The state government has notified 108 villages belonging to all 30 places of UPDA. Rs 200 crore has also been given to six district collectors to purchase land. Also, Bundelkhand Industrial Authority has been ordered to give ₹1500 crore to buy land. At present, the rates for purchasing land are being determined at the state level. Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of highways.
