CID Inspector Fredericks is No More, Dinesh Phadnis Breathed His Last at Age of 57
Dinesh Phadnis Death: Actor Dinesh Phadnis, who played the character of Fredericks in TV's popular crime show CID, died on the night of 5 December. He breathed his last at the Tunga Hospital in Mumbai at the age of 57. Now his last rites will be performed today (December 5) at Daulat Nagar Crematorium, Borivali East Mumbai. Dinesh's liver was damaged and since then his condition was very serious and he was on ventilator support in the hospital. Now due to his departure like this, there is a wave of interest in the entire industry.

Dinesh Phadnis was admitted to the hospital on 1 December. Dayanand Shetty, who shared the screen with Dinesh in CID, had since been sharing updates about the actor's health. He had said, 'Dinesh is admitted in the hospital. And is on ventilator. Doctors are monitoring him. He has not suffered a heart attack. This is a different treatment. And I would not like to comment on this. Although they did not disclose Dinesh's illness, but according to reports his liver was damaged.

Along with TV, Dinesh had worked in many films.
Dinesh Phadnis got real recognition from the character of Fredericks in CID. He worked on this show for almost 20 years. CID was started in 1998. This serial, which ran till 2018, is one of the longest running series on Indian television. Dinesh not only worked as an actor but also as a writer for some episodes of the show. Apart from this, he did a cameo in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Dinesh was also seen in many Bollywood films like 'Sarfarosh', 'Super 30', etc.
