Estimates are being made. That pensioners and employees may see the impact of changes in DA in their October salaries. Last year also, on the occasion of Diwali, DA of employees and pensioners was increased by 4 percent.

DA may increase this time to

This year, the festival of Diwali will be celebrated across the country on 12th November. It is expected. That on the occasion of Diwali, the Cabinet can approve the proposal any time. According to C. Sreekumar, General Secretary of All India Defense Employees Federation, if this time also there is a 4 percent increase in DA of the employees. So DA will increase to 46 percent. In July 2022, dearness allowance was 38%. Which increased by 4 percent to 42 percent in January 2023. If DA increases again by 4 percent in July. So DA will be 46%.

CPI rates increased

Similarly, if seen in the next year i.e. January 2024 also there is an increase of 4 percent in DA. So DA will increase by 50 percent. According to the data released by the National Statistics Office, the CPI rate in July 2023, including urban and rural areas, will be 7.44 percent. Whereas in June 2023 the CPI rate was 4.87 percent. If we talk about July 2022, the CFPI rate was 6.71 percent, whereas in July 2023, the combined CFPI rate had increased to 11.51 percent.
