Starc has broken the record of bowling out the most number of batsmen by a bowler in the history of the World Cup. Starc has now made this great record in his name by bowling out 26 batsmen in the World Cup and he has gone ahead of Wasim Akram. Who had bowled 25 batsmen during his career in the World Cup.

Mitchell Starc broke his record and took the wicket by bowling Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi in the 38th over. However, in the match, Starc managed to take only one wicket for 70 runs in 9 overs at an economy rate of 7.80.
