6 Seater Variant of Mahindra XUV700 May Come Very Soon, New XUV700 Will Be Equipped With These New Features

 

YuvaPatrkaar : Mahindra XUV700, launched in 2021, has contributed significantly to the company's sales and success. Mahindra is preparing to introduce a new 6-seater variant to further improve the sales performance of its XUV700 model lineup.

Leaked documents suggest that these variants will have captain seats in the middle row and will have auto-dimming internal rear-view mirrors (IRVMs) and ventilated seats. There will be no change in the basic design of the SUV. Currently, the XUV700 gets two seating configurations of five and seven seaters. The 2.0L mStallion turbo petrol engine and 2.2L mHawk diesel engine, both have 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options.

Pending Order

Recently the company said that there are about 2.86 lakh orders pending with XUV700. Mahindra's bookings for XUV700 are continuously increasing. Over the past few months, it has received an average of 51,000 bookings every month. And 70,000 bookings are yet to be received. Also, there is a huge backlog for other models as well. 1,19,000 bookings for Scorpio (N and Classic), 76,000 bookings for Thar, 11,000 bookings for Bolero, and 10,000 bookings for SUV300, SUV400. Keeping in view the increased demand, Mahindra & Mahindra has manufactured Scorpio, Thar and XUV700 in larger quantities.

Market Share increase

Mahindra & Mahindra has achieved a new milestone by retailing 1,14,742 SUVs between July and September 2023 compared to two years ago. By the end of September 2023, Mahindra has achieved the status of second largest SUV maker in India for five consecutive quarters, with a market share of 19.9 percent.

Company's EV plans

Mahindra & Mahindra is also set to introduce a new EV series based on the INGLO platform. So that it can make a strong hold in the segment of electric vehicles. Mahindra's first electric SUV due in late 2024 will be built on this latest technology.
