Classic Looks, Modern Power! A New Chapter Unfolds for the Upcoming Bajaj-Triumph Bonneville 400.

The Bonneville 400 is set to be the British brand's next motorcycle, completing Triumph's 400-series lineup in India. Notably, some exclusive details regarding this bike have surfaced ahead of its official launch.

According to available information, Triumph has curated an extensive list of special accessories specifically for this motorcycle. These accessories, inspired by the larger Bonneville models, are designed to enhance both the bike's aesthetics and its touring capabilities.

The accessory list is expected to include items such as a touring flyscreen, a bench-style seat, a dedicated touring seat, bar-end mirrors, a backrest, waxed leather saddlebags, and various other options. Additionally, customers may have the option to choose engine protection guards and a range of chrome components to further accentuate its classic appeal.

Beyond the accessories, the Bonneville 400's engine is also expected to feature a custom tune. It will be powered by a 349cc, liquid-cooled engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. The engine will be tuned to deliver higher torque in the low-to-mid RPM range, thereby minimizing the need for frequent gear shifts during city riding.

Affectionately dubbed the "Baby Bonnie," this motorcycle is expected to make its debut in the Indian two-wheeler market by September 2026. Typically, the larger Bonneville models are positioned below the Speed and Scrambler series within the lineup—a positioning that is expected to be mirrored with the Bonneville 400. Thanks to its simpler cycle parts and a more conservative engine tune, the bike's price is projected to fall below the ₹2 lakh (ex-showroom) mark.

With its authentic Bonneville styling and substantial dimensions, this motorcycle is poised to go head-to-head with the Royal Enfield Classic 350.
