Green SM Limo Electric Taxi Review | VinFast MPV 7-based EV | Features, Boot Space, Range
What I'm standing next to is the Green SM Limo electric taxi, which has just been launched in the country. This year is based on the VinFast MPV 7. Now, the company says that the initial phase targets at 15,000 vehicles and three major cities, Delhi, Bengaluru, and
Hyderabad. Let's take a look at the vehicle from close. To start with, it gets this nice DRL. Right below it is the LED headlamp. I don't see any sensors on the bumper. And right at the center, you get this chrome badging. On the bonnet, you get this
strong line. It looks nice. Uh as I come to the side, this here is where it gets charged. This here is the AC and DC socket. Right below the ORVM, I can see a mirror right over here. This is for the camera. Now, you get pull-out door handles. On the inside, you get a
flat-bottom steering wheel. You get 10.1-in touchscreen infotainment unit. And it also gets wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Now, when it comes to safety of the passengers and the drivers, uh you get five SOS buttons for all the passengers and the driver for
safety. You get one on the A-pillar for the driver, two on the B-pillar, and two on the C-pillar. That's five SOS buttons. And apart from that, you get three dashcams for security and safety of the passengers and the drivers. One is the driver's point of view, two for
the cabin. When it comes to comfort, I'm around 5 ft 9 in tall. Look at the amount of knee room that I have. This is actually set to the driver's position, who is around 5'6, 5'7. And look at the amount of head room that I have. You can also recline the seat. So,
this is the maximum recline that the seat can be reclined to. And you have two AC vents right over here. You have two uh chargers for uh your phone. And one is type C and one is USB. You also get this small space for your knickknacks, for your DL, for your
phone, for your wallet. And you also get the space right beneath the speaker, which has actually been done quite nicely. I like the design of the speaker. And you can place your bottles over here. I think a 1-L bottle can easily fit over here. And I also like
how the door handle is placed in the uh on the inside. It looks nice. It's not like a conventional door handle. It's This is how it is placed. It's It's nice. Now, let's go out and take a look at the boot space. Now, as I come to the rear, you get these nice wrap-around LED
tail lamp. You also get again the same badging that we have seen of the green SM done in chrome. You get these defogger lines. You get this integrated spoiler with the LED tail lamp. You get the shark fin antenna. Also, no sensors are there rear as well.
Now, when it comes to boot space, uh considering it is based on the MPV 7, the international spec MPV 7 gets a boot space of 126 L. Now, this is a 7-seater SUV with all the three rows up. But, when you tumble down the last row, you get 1,270 L of boot space, which is quite a lot.
Uh you can also see that for the rear passengers, you get bottle holders on either side, and you get these two lamps along with a power outlet, 12-W power outlet right over here. Now, let's talk about the performance and the figures of the Limo Green. Now, this is based on the MPV 7.
Now, the company has not given any proper communication uh about the Limo Green. Now, the international spec MPV 7 is powered by a 60.13 kWh battery pack that powers a motor which pushes out 202 PS of power and 280 Nm of peak torque. When it comes to acceleration, 0 to 100
km/h is done in less than 9 seconds, and the top speed is logged at 140 km/h. With a DC charger, charge can be done in less than 30 minutes. Now, those are the power figures, and considering this is for commercial use, the power figures may vary a little, but overall,
