Hero Motocorp is Going To Launch The Country's Cheapest Electric Bike

Yuva Patrkaar, New Delhi: Hero Motocorp, which has been a leader in the ICE bike segment for a long time, has not done much in the electric segment so far. The company has VIDA series, but its sales have not yet seen the enthusiasm that has been seen in other segments of the company. To deal with this, the company is going to make some big partnerships, this will obviously give wings to a plan.

Sources associated with Hero Motocorp have told that they are planning to do something new by partnering with the leading companies of the electric scooter market. Hero has a 31% stake in ATHER Energy and going ahead, the company has entered into a new partnership with Zero Motorcycles. Last year itself, it was announced that Hero would invest Rs 491 crore in Zero.

California-based Zero Motorcycles has a vast experience in the electric segment and is likely to soon start manufacturing state-of-the-art electronics in India that will be used in electric vehicles. One thing can be inferred from all these news that soon a powerful electric bike is going to be launched in India, which Zero Motorcycles and Hero Motocorp are going to make together.

According to media reports, the full emphasis of the Hero company is to launch the electric bike at the lowest cost, because everyone knows that Indian customers still prefer to take budget range vehicles and that is the reason why Hero country is the number one bike manufacturer. Now it has to be seen what measures are taken to keep the cost of the bike low.

Recently, there were reports that companies are removing features to keep the price of their electric scooters low, the biggest reason behind this step is the reduction in subsidy from the Government of India. From date one, Fame-2 subsidy has been implemented in the entire country, the effect of which is also being seen on the sales of electric scooters and bikes.
