Ratan Tata shared his story

Last year, Ratan Tata had openly written a post through an Instagram post about his real motive behind launching Tata Nano in India. He wrote that 'What really inspired me and made me want to produce this car was the suffering of a common man. I constantly saw Indian families on scooters, with children riding between parents on slippery roads. The biggest advantage of working in the School of Architecture was that it gave me many types of ideas in my free time.

He writes further. 'First of all we tried to figure out how to make the two-wheeler safe. Then the doodle that came in my mind was of a 4 wheeler, which had no windows, no doors, it was just a cart shaped car. But I finally decided that it should be a car. Nano is made for every person.
