Gandhi Museum :1st Gandhi Museum Opened in Houston, North America
Houston News : The first Gandhi Museum dedicated to the life and legacy of Mahatma Gandhi opened in Houston, North America. ‘Eternal Gandhi Museum’ is the only Gandhi museum in America. Which is completely dedicated to preserving and promoting the Father of the Nation's enduring legacy of conflict resolution through non-violence.
The museum officially opened its doors to the public on August 15, but the grand ceremony was held on October 2, Gandhi's 154th birth anniversary.

The exterior walls of the semi-circular museum depict Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., Nelson Mandela, Betty Williams and other peace messengers. There is a statue of Gandhiji in front of the museum.
Many guests were invited to celebrate the grand opening of the museum on Monday afternoon, including Mahatma Gandhi's grandson, Dr. Rajmohan Gandhi, and Martin Luther King's nephew, Isaac Newton Farrick Jr. Houston-based CGI D Manjunath was the special guest.
