Suicide Attack : Suicide Attack Near Parliament in Turkey's Capital Ankara, Attacker Killed in Firing

 

Yuva Patrkaar : A suicide attack has taken place near the Parliament of Turkey. Turkey's interior minister said a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device near his ministry on Sunday, while a second attacker was killed in a shootout with police. Ali Yerlikaya said that two police officers were slightly injured during the attack in the Turkish capital Ankara. The attack occurred hours before Parliament reopened after the summer recess. Television footage showed a bomb squad working near a vehicle parked in the area.

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said through a social media post that two terrorists approached the National Police Headquarters building with a commercial vehicle and one of them blew himself up.
