UP Govt Will Give Good News To Public Before New Year, This Much increase in Dearness Allowance

UP News: On Wednesday, the UP government ordered to increase dearness allowance for fifth and sixth pay scale employees. Employees working in the pay structure implemented by the state government will now get dearness allowance of 230 percent of the basic pay, which is recommended by the Sixth Central Pay Commission.
Similarly, employees in the fifth pay scale will get 427 percent of dearness allowance along with pay and dearness allowance. These employees will get the benefit of increase in dearness allowance from July 1. Till now, the employees of the sixth pay scale were getting 221 percent dearness allowance. Employees of the fifth pay scale used to get 412 percent dearness allowance.

10 percent of the residual dearness allowance amount will be deposited in the Tier-I account of the employees covered under NPS. The state government will deposit 14 percent of the remaining amount in the Tier-I pension account. 90 percent of the funds will be given from Personnel PPF or NSC.

Also, Additional Chief Secretary of Finance Department, Deepak Kumar has ordered the All India Service officers posted in the state from July 1, 2023 to avail the benefit of increase in dearness allowance as per the above arrangement. DA was earlier extended to other departments including the Transport Department.

The order to increase dearness allowance has been given by the Chief Secretary of the department, Deepak Kumar. From November 1, the increased rate of dearness allowance will be paid in cash. The balance amount payable in the provident fund account of the officer or employee from July 1 to October 31, 2023 will be credited. Officers and employees who are not members of the Provident Fund Account. Their dues will be deposited in NSC or PPF account.
