Rio's last rites will be performed on September 15 at Shivdham cremation ground in Goregaon.

Rio Kapadia was last seen as Mrunal Thakur's father in the Amazon Prime Video series Made in Heaven Season 2. Apart from Chak De India, Happy New Year, he is Mardaani, Khuda Hafiz and Dil Chahta Hai.
