According to the information, this matter is related to an app called FairPlay. According to sources, Badshah had promoted this app. The allegation is this. That FairPlay was showing IPL, even though it did not have any kind of streaming permission. Following this, Viacom 18 network had filed an FIR against 40 other artistes, including rapper Badshah, for promoting watching IPL matches on betting app FairPlay.

According to the report, a case of digital piracy has been registered. And more actors are likely to be summoned in the case. FairPlay app is linked to Mahadev app. Whose masterminds are Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal. ED is currently investigating money laundering on Mahadev App. And so far many celebrities including Ranbir Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, Kapil and Shraddha Kapoor have been summoned in this connection.
