15 New Stations Will Be Built in Delhi Metro, DMRC Gave Biggest Update
Delhi Metro Silver Line Update: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has sent a proposal to the Delhi Government to build a new metro station on the Silver Line (Tughlakabad to Aerocity) to be built in Metro Phase 4. This station will be built between Sangam Vihar and Anandamayi Marg. Both stations are about 3.7 km apart.
There is a 23.6 km long Silver Line corridor. 15 metro stations are being built on it. The majority of it is underground. The elevated area is just 4.3 kilometres. According to sources, the distance between all the stations on this corridor is about 1 to 1.5 km. The distance from Sangam Vihar station to Anandamayi Marg station is about 3.7 km. The corridor between the two stations earlier passed through Mehrauli Badarpur Road, but the design had to be changed due to the protected area.

The design of the corridor had to be changed
Tughlaqabad Fort, Adilabad Fort, Ghiyasuddin's Mosque and Barber's Coat earlier passed through this corridor. As a result, Delhi Metro had to change its design. This station is away from many residential areas of Mehrauli Badarpur, Sangam Vihar and Prahladpur village. Following demand from local people, the Delhi government asked the Metro to build a new station between the two stations. Metro has sent a proposal for this.

Double decker flyover is being built
One feature of the Silver Line is that two decker flyovers are also being built on this corridor. The flyover will be 2.4 km below the metro pillar. A flyover will be built between Sangam Vihar Tigri and Ambedkar Nagar metro stations. Apart from this, a six-lane underpass will be built here, which will be 430 meters long near Saket G Block and Mandir Marg crossing.
