15,000 Hectares of Land Will Be Acquired For Delhi-Mumbai Expressway
New Delhi: The package coming in Phase 3 of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is 10... 25 km long. On which work has started. Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is a 1350 km long 8 lane highway.
After its completion, the travel time by road between Delhi and Mumbai will be reduced to almost half. Work on this important road project started on 9 March 2019.
Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will pass through 5 states, Haryana (126 km), Rajasthan (373 km), Gujarat (426 km) and Maharashtra (171 km). The Delhi to Dausa route was opened for traffic in February 2023.
At the same time, in September 2023, the National Highway Authority opened a 244 km long section in Madhya Pradesh. This expressway is being built in 4 sections and 52 construction packages. The length of each package is 8 to 46 km.
A total of 15,000 hectares of land has been acquired for the construction of this 1350 km long expressway. According to the report of Magic Bricks, 80 lakh tonnes of cement will be used to build this huge expressway.
The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, being built at a cost of Rs 1 lakh crore, can be expanded to 12 lanes. The maximum speed limit of vehicles on this is 120 km per hour.

Earlier the date of completion of its construction was June 2024, which has now increased to December 2024. With the completion of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, the travel time between the country's capital and the financial capital will reduce from 24 hours to 12 hours.
Let us tell you that there are restrictions on 5 types of vehicles on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. These include tractors, bikes, straw loaded vehicles, harvesters and autos. Apart from these vehicles, all vehicles will be able to enter on 8 lanes.
