Bhiwani :- People of many religions live in the state. But most of the people of Hindu religion live there. Temples of Gods and Goddesses associated with all religions have been established in Haryana. Bhiwani district of Haryana is known as Chhoti Kashi because of the abundance of temples. There are more than 300 temples in Bhiwani district. Because of which it is also called Chhoti Kashi. Although you will get to see temples all over Haryana, but most of the temples in the state are in Bhiwani district only.

Haryana was established on 1 November 1966

The state of Haryana was first a part of Madhya Pradesh, after that in the year 1833 it was made a part of Uttar Pradesh. While after the revolution of 1857, Haryana was merged with Punjab. From then till 1966 it was a part of Punjab only. On 1 November 1966, it was separated from Punjab and a separate state Haryana was created. After that, the Union Territory of Chandigarh, the capital of Punjab and Haryana, was created.

Haryana State Board of Education is in Bhiwani itself. Haryana Board of School Education, Bhiwani came into existence in 1969 as per Haryana Act No. 11 of 1969, with its headquarter at Chandigarh, later shifted to Bhiwani in January 1981.
