The total length of this expressway is 610 km. And its estimated cost is approximately Rs 35 thousand crores. In Bihar, its route will pass through southern parts of Kaimur and Rohtas, which will also increase development of these areas.

The construction of this expressway will greatly improve connectivity of Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. Apart from this, its connection with Purvanchal Expressway and other highways will also make journey from Delhi to Kolkata easier.
From Jharkhand to Bengal
The expressway will pass through many villages and cities of Jharkhand, which will provide ease of transportation to people of this region. It will start from Hunterganj, pass through Hazaribagh and Ramgarh and end in Purulia, West Bengal.
